About Beaches Energy
We provide electric and natural gas service to more than 36,000 customers in Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Palm Valley, and Neptune Beach, Florida. For more than 100 years, we have provided utility service for the people and businesses that have chosen our beach community as their place to live, work, and play.
Our History
The electric utility was originally created by the citizens of Jacksonville Beach in 1915, and in the early years, was named Jacksonville Beach Electric Utility. In 2004, we changed the name of the utility to Beaches Energy Services to reflect all the communities we serve and the high level of customer service we provide. Natural gas service was added in 2010 when our first natural gas main was installed to serve commercial customers. Today, we are committed to using the latest environmentally safe technology and providing reliable energy services at a competitive price with superior customer service that is always “Above and Beyond the Expected.”
